The borough is happy to announce the pool construction is almost complete, and anticipating the opening to be Saturday, May 27 (weather permitting).

The Public Works Department has done a great job in keeping on schedule with the final touches being done at the pool for opening day.

If you haven’t already, we encourage residents to purchase their pool passes. Those applications can be found in the spring issue of the Tree City Times, and on the borough’s web-site: As in the past, you will also be able to purchase your passes the first day the pool is open (and thereafter).

New this year – Forest Hills Residents now have the opportunity to sponsor non-resident families to join the pool (up to 25 families). Those applications (and the rules/regulations) are also in the spring issue of the Tree City Times and on the borough’s web-site.

We thank you for your patience during this major construction, and we welcome back the community that is anxious to get back to activities taking place this season at the Forest Hills Pool!

Because the Forest Hills Pool will be undergoing major renovations this season, the pool will not open at its regular schedule (Memorial Weekend). The borough has received invitations from some of our neighborhood communities inviting our residents to use their pools. Check out some of the discounts that will be offered and enjoy those facilities while the Forest Hills Pool is under construction this season. A list of the neighborhood pools can be found here.

Swim team and synchronized swim team practices will take place at Woodland Hills High School. Swim lessons will also take place at the school.

The Forest Hills Swim Team (the Stingrays) proved once again that champions live in Forest Hills!

The Stingrays added another championship trophy to their collection on Saturday, July 27, after winning the ESA Division II Championship. The victory was the first ever back-to-back wins for the team, and double the number of championship titles in a span of only two seasons. This monumental win marks the fourth championship in the team’s 45-year history (Div. I: 1970, Div. II: 1996, 2012, & 2013).

Congratulations to the ESA Division II Champions, who are now looking forward to the 2014 season!

The borough will be doing major construction on the tennis courts this year. Even though we will try and do everything possible to make the upcoming project run as smooth as possible, there are going to be changes mainly around the upper level of the facility—the grass area near the entrance booth and lodge, and some of the parking lot due to transporting construction equipment back and forth to the courts. Also, the volleyball court will be closed during construction. This construction is scheduled to begin sometime during the month of July and will continue beyond Labor Day.

Tennis players are permitted to play on the courts before construction begins, but because the courts are not in the best shape, players are doing so at their own risk.

The lower level (swimming pool) will most probably not be directly affected other than construction noise.

We apologize for this inconvenience and hope that everyone who visits the pool this year will understand that the outcome will produce new and safe courts for everyone to enjoy the game of tennis. Thank you.
